Or:

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love HootSuite

I seem to find myself on the short side of the debate among the pseudo-Twitterati. I used to proselytize about TweetDeck. Now I’m sweeter on HootSuite.

Here’s why:

Features HootSuite TweetDeck
Easily manage multiple accounts X X
Customizable column format for data stream organization X X
Manage Facebook personal profile X X
Manage LinkedIn personal profile X X
Publish to multiple accounts simultaneously X X
Management of Facebook Business Pages X
Accounts navigable by visible tabs X
Schedule Tweets for publishing later X

This is by no means a complete list of features either site offers. It is, however, the list of features that matter the most to me.

HootSuite still has a way to go to become the killer app. It lacks some of the Twitter account setup features available through, for example, SocialOomph. Its key advantage is the ability to schedule Tweets. If you have a content strategy—and you should (and if you don’t, please contact Hanbery Marketing)—this is the key to unlocking the potential of Twitter for content distribution and/or blog promotion.

I recommend you take another look at HootSuite, tout suite!
